Week 1 -Fine Art-

This weeks session was an introduction to Fine Art photography. The first thing we did was researching the meaning of it. It was quite hard to understand because art cannot be described. But the general meaning was that it was a picture made just for art, and not for advertising or making a point. I wrote everything else down in my sketchbook and illustrated it with some images. After that we researched some special artists like Rankin and Louise Bourgious. It was interesting knowing what Fine Art was actually like and how artist interpretated it.
After that we actually got our brief: it was called Control. Event if that seemed a bit strange, I managed to get ideas. Even if I had ideas like the control of adults over kids, or the control of governments, I was thinking more about the control of your body and the things around you ( for example dance in the first case and juggling in the second ). I think these ideas are quite original. I even though of "escaping" the control, like climbing over a fence or something like that.
When the brief was finished, we were able to go out and take some pictures, to do with control. I believe I took more than a hundred pictures ( the cameras were of a very good quality and easy to use) and only kept six. Here's one of them :

I didn't have time to edit because I had some problems but thats what I will do next lesson.
